Stress in life is a promoter and inducer of many diseases, especially cancer. In fact, if you don’t address stress in your life, it will outweigh everything else you do.

Stress comes from negative thoughts and emotions, fear, anger, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, jealousy, envy, guilt, shame, insecurity, regret, worry and anxiety.

All negative emotion cause stress – first in your mind, and then in your body. Furthermore, stress triggers a physical response which has your body immediately release stress hormones. These stress hormones switch off your immune system, and your brain, which is why you can’t think clearly, rationally and even remember.

The worst kind of stress, is chronic stress that comes from worries, fears, negative thoughts, emotions and problems in life. With chronic stress, we are living with stress hormones that can be very destructive to our health and wellbeing, if it is elevated for long periods of time.

This is because stress contributes to weight gain that can lead to insulin resistance, pre-diabetes and even obesity. It can also promote lack of sleep, and disrupt digestive function which inhibits nutrient absorption that leads to gastrointestinal problems, like acid reflux, ulcers, IBS, Crohn’s, colitis and other digestive disorders.
